Second week of summer vacation...

Since we were all sick when Shrek Forever After first hit the theaters we missed it's opening. It's been unbearably hot so sitting in a cool dark theater for a few hours was a great way to beat the heat.
Braden loves movie theater popcorn he was very excited when our bucket came out!
We got a great Groupon rate on day passes to Ocean Breeze Water Park in VB. We had never taken the kids so they were very exited to met Hugh Mongous in the parking lot!
They love all things pirate...this boat was a hit for them!

We had a lazy day in to recover from all of our recent out tings. Blocks-Edushape blocks, mega blocks, Lego blocks it doesn't matter the boys are all about building right now. All day. Every day.

Our July 4th sun catchers...
Checking themselves out in the mirror to see if they looked cute in their new goggles.
Connor is content to play but Braden has a new found love for under water swimming!
A new way to pass the time-card games. Crazy 8's has become a favorite.
Finally! A day cool enough to relax outside with some toys and a snack and not suffer from heat stroke!

4th of July sun catcher-toddler style...

The twinkies made these cute 4th of July sun catchers that are now hanging in our window:
Using double sided tape I stuck down squares of contact paper (sticky side up!) on the table and they made a pile of items they wanted to stick into their catcher: red & blue torn tissue paper, red, blue & silver sequins, glitter and punched out white stars.
Little hands expertly placing each item just so...
The final result after sticking another sheet of contact paper on top of the first. We cut out star shapes, punched a hole and hung them!

End of school year...

The end of the school year was very bittersweet. I was so proud of my little boys for completing their very first year of school but at the same time I was freaking out a little inside: my little boys had just completed their very first year of school!
Mike & I both attended their end of year parties. First up was Connor's luau:
Giraffe-a-laugh limbo...
Playground play...
In an effort to beat the heat-a spray bottle fight!
Group shot-all in their hula skirt they had made
Connor with his teacher Mrs. Eller and aid Mrs. E
Next up was Braden's end of year bash-his classroom door:
They decorated pencil holder's we filled with goodies
Braden & his BFF Miguel
Group shot
Mrs. Brander & Braden...

Father's Day

This is one my favorite gifts for Mike! I love this framed scrapbook page so much-maybe because it's one of my favorite photo's of my three guys. It's not really a great shot and you can't see their faces but it was such an important day-their first day of school! Daddy came home from work to be able to walk his little boys into class on their very first day. It was such a sweet moment.
I find it fitting that this week as well as being Father's Day is also their last week of their first year of school-this picture seemed perfect for this gift.
Mike knew I was painting his foot brown (kind of hard to get around that) although with his late hours lately I probably could have done it while he slept and he never would have known! He does not know what it was for and he didn't even see the paper so he'll be surprised when he gets this as one of his gifts on Sunday.
A close up of the poem...

Finally complete!

My December Daily is finally complete! I finished it on May 31st so that I could say I was done before June! How sad is it that the only page I had left in it to complete was December 25th? I am so happy it's completed and I already can not wait to to work on DD 2010 in November.

A gift for the grandma's...

On Mother's Day for the twins grandmother's I made these cute little tag ring albums using the Snorkel line from Cosmo Cricket. They featured pictures of the boys from a recent photo shoot and they are small enough for them to take on the go and show off their grandsons!
