Blogger Slacker

Just call me Blogger Slacker-that is my new name! In my defense March has been a pretty busy month-but then again when is it not busy juggling the dynamic duo and the darling daddy?

Our busy March in a nutshell:

1. First and foremost we celebrated Connor and Braden's third birthday on March 11 at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg Va. Happy Birthday boys!
We had the best time-could not have asked for a better trip our way to celebrate their special day with them. GWL truly is a wonderful place for a family of all ages vacation. If you ever get the chance to experience it I highly recommend it. We are already planning our return trip!

2. In addition to his normal schedule Mike:
-had five days of court this month
-worked four varsity games to keep the kids from well killing each other
-spent five nights at HN (a rough apartment complex)
-attended one mandatory meeting about department morale

3. We had a freak "snow storm" if you would like to call it that followed three days later by my kids out playing in their shorts, sandals and shades! Got to love Virginia weather!

4. We spent an afternoon at the Great Bridge Lock Park right here in Chesapeake watching the boats come in and walking the trails. Just because I love to say it Great Bridge Lock Park is located beside Great Bridge Bridge yes we have a bridge called "Great Bridge Bridge"

5. We spent a day at the Virginia Zoo since we did get a membership I suppose we'll be doing a lot of that-but we always have a good time and it sure tires the kids as well as Mom and Dad out!

6. We spent a day at Blue Bird Gap Farm in Hampton Va., since they themselves say it best : "Bluebird Gap Farm offers an exciting, family-oriented adventure and educational experience rarely see in an urban environment. The 60-acre farm has more than 250 domestic and wild animals, including everything from the usual array of farm animals to a bobcat, raccoon, birds of prey, whitetail deer, tortoises, and peacocks." We enjoyed all the animals and having a picnic lunch together out in the woods!

7. We had our last sessions in the "Time For Twos" story time at Greenbrier Library where we learned about Sesame Street and Farms.

8. We moved up (sniff sniff) to the "big" kid story time 3-5's where the boys no longer need Mommy or Daddy to attend with them...they go all by themselves! Last week was their first week and they learned all about dinosaurs.

9. We celebrated St. Patty's-it would be treason to our roots not to! The boys & I got all decked out in our finest greenery and enjoyed a play date of Green Eggs & Ham with their little friends. Mommy even made a green monkey bread which did turn out quite nice despite the fact that it did look like a ball of snot going int he oven!

10. We've been getting the house all decorated for Easter-big surprise I know. I have been called the Decoration Queen from time to time! : ) Mommy has had to work extra hard to have things ready for Easter when we get back from NY as we will be arriving home just in time for the holiday and Mommy is not driving 13 hours to go shopping-"anal annie" is already prepared thank you very much!

11. Now we're just preparing for our trip home to NY to see the family and celebrate the twins birthday with them. How spoiled right? Two birthdays but since they are twins and they ave to share their day i guess it is only fair! For me of course as an OCDer this is a big undertaking which requires hours of prep and planning! My family loves me I swear!

So that has been our month so far...April here we come!
