My Own Monster(s)

I fell in LOVE with these simple (PEEL PLACE PRESS-how can it be any easier?) iron-on monsters when I came across them on the sei lifestyle blog in this post My Own Monster
We immediately ordered up a "Cool Curt" and "Blobby Bobby" kit for the boys...
Here are their super cute creations!
The twins want to paint up a couple blocks of wood today and use up some of the extra pieces to make their own monster Halloween decoration look-a-likes!

The #9 & the #10 are brought to you by...

...one proud soccer mom! Saturday marked the start of our third soccer season! Things are a little different this go around. We joined a new (i.e: better organized) club and after one practice and one game under our belts were are very excited and happy about our move. We love our coach, we love having a HUGE team, we love actually learning the fundamentals of soccer and most of all the boys love their new team name the Rockets and their new jersey's that proudly sport numbers this season!
My #9 (Braden) and #10 (Connor)
Giving mom the thumbs up!

This summer...

...has been a whirl wind! From beach days and pools days (the only way to beat the super hot heat we lived through this summer) to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, IllumiNights, bowling, 4th of July weekend, Toy Story 3, Kangaroo Jacs, Despicable Me, library story time, Shrek 4, Ocean Breeze Water Park, Marmaduk, Rudee Flipper dolphin watch cruise, vacationing friends, vacationing family, Great Wolf Lodge...the list goes on and on...I am feverishly working on putting together my Summer in the Life album documenting our packed summer of 2010.
It's hard to believe that in a few days it's back to school, the start of the fall soccer season and the new insanity added to the mix...karate classes!
It's sure to be a busy and fun fall for us all too!
The boys recently were photographed by Amanda of kimberlingrayphotography.com again-here are a few of their new pics (in their new favorite colors "corn" and "ketchup")...

The shell...

I've been following Monika Wright's i love it all blog and she had a really neat summer in the life mini book idea. I loved [ Ali Edwards ] December Daily and week in the life projects so I was excited to embark on a summer one.
Here is the bare bones-the cover (6 x 8) and the base pages (randomly sized) put together for me to start filling it with the fun play dates we've had this summer, the movies we've seen, the places we've gone, the friends and family that have visited, the songs that have kept us singing...the list goes on and on. I know I'll love looking back on this snapshot of a summer in our lives! I'll post pages as they develop

Chunky Holiday Mini Album

I've had this small board book kicking around for awhile so since July 3rd/4th weekend was jammed pack for us-parades, fireworks, friends, patriotic treats, visiting "sisters" and my little cuties all decked out I decided to use up any red, white and or blue scrap and put together this "patriotic" mini-here are a few pages from it.
My patriotic cuties...
At the Chesapeake 3rd of July parade...
Chesapeake's finest...
Tasty treat Mike & I remember from our childhood as well as the pasta tee craft the boys made...
My PWU "sister" Kim whom I met for the first time while her family vacationed in VAB over the holiday!
Excuse the less than stellar photography! ; )
