It's been an "egg" cellent week...

...for Easter egg hunts!
I of course am under the weather (tonsillitis & ear infection) and haven't really been enjoying all of this sunny and 75+ degree weather. The boys have been loving it!
Connor & Braden posing with their loot from their respective Easter egg hunts at school
Waiting patiently for the hunt to begin at their play group Easter party
All the eggs ripe for the picking
Braden found one (note that it is blue)
Connor grabbing for any egg he could get his hands on
Lots of eggs!
Their baskets...LOL...can you guess which one is Braden's?

A treat, some tricks & a party (a final St. Patrick post)

I had to post one final entry on St. Patrick's Day before moving onto to Easter. So here it is: a treat, some tricks & a party...
On St. Patrick's eve (we'll call it) Connor & Braden made sweet shamrock pretzels. St. Patty day may be all about being green but Braden had to stay true to blue and sprinkle his favorite color over his treat before we put them in the oven.
We bought Pillsbury bread stick dough and rolled it in cinnamon and sugar crystals before twisting it into a shamrock shape-a final coating of color went on top before they were baked.
While they were at school a leprechaun was up to some tricks at home. They returned to fins this tell tale trail of green leading into the house!
They expressions on their faces were priceless. This photo really captured how shocked they were-I think they thought he was still going to be inside!
Following the trail inside they found that the naughty little leprechaun had stolen one of our cupcakes!
In his haste to get away he'd dropped a pile of gold out of his pocket in front of the fridge-they quickly scooped it up!

Park Play

The weather this week has been amazing! This is the exact reason why I left cold Northern NY and moved to Southeastern VA! We took advantage and spent a lot of time in a lot of different parks with pals this week.

Mardi Gras!

The night before their Mardi Gras party play date the boys got all decked out in their Mardi Gras grab and posed by our Mardi Gras decorations!
The day of Braden was very under the weather (two days later we found out he had strep) so he stayed home with Daddy & Mommy took Connor to the party.

Dancing like a wild man to the music!
While at home Daddy helped Braden decorate his own Mardi Gras mask-they did an amazing job! Braden posed in his mask with Connor when Connor got home.

Backwards Play Date

Earlier this week we went to a backwards themed play date at their buddies house. When we arrived we greeted everyone "goodbye", we wore our clothes inside out or backwards and made little shoe box pinatas inside out. We decorated the inside and added the candy to the outside! The kids had a great time!
Braden & Connor ready to go-shirts & hats on backwards-if I would have let them they would have had their pants on backwards as well!
Inside out pinata mania!
